The moment I saw the Nitecore NPL10 and saw its price, I knew I would be getting one and so I did. I was happy on having a weaponlight that comes in with a laser on a really tight budget. However, I am giving 3 stars only due to the following points:

1. The windage and elevation adjustment of the laser needs an allen wrench that is small than what is provided in the package. Hence, you will have to find an allen wrench small enough to fit and make the adjustments needed.

2. The switches are very sensitive. Not really a bad thing, but due to the positioning of the switches, you may end up draining the battery if a bag/soft holster is used to carry your firearm. Also, if the NPL10 has been incorrectly installed, the trigger guard of your firearm may hit the switches, causing it also to drain the battery. There has to be a gap between the trigger guard and the switch for this not to happen.

3. The battery used by the NPL10 is a CR2 and it gets drained really fast. If you try to look for a rechargeable CR2 (aka 15270), you would not be able to find one made by a reputable brand. Either you stock up with disposable CR2s, which is expensive; or settle with a low quality rechargeable 15270.

4. Installation of the NPL10 is a pain. You would have to deal with the torx screws as well as the mounting screw that uses a coin. These means dealing with trouble of removing and installing the NPL10 from your firearm whenever you need to.

The NPL10 isn’t a bad weaponlight. It can give you what you need. It gives out a very nice flood with its flashlight that illuminates just enough. Its laser is really visible which I love. Overall, the NPL10 is a good weaponlight if you are on a tight budget.

Products works well. Bright enough and laser is easy to align. Product is easy to install as well. It looks better with compact handguns but looks decent with my standard size handgun too. Thanks Tactical Asia
