Cold Steel's new Hide Out series was designed with one clear goal in mind; to produce a small, inexpensive and astoundingly functional neck knife - one that was just so good, so affordable and so light that there was simply no excuse not to carry one!

Its high satin polished, double-edged Japanese AUS 8A blade is "Scandi" ground, which makes it very sharp and also very stiff, allowing for a strong point and effortless penetrative power.

Its full tang is encapsulated in a weather proof Griv-Ex™ handle that has been designed to be very thin and flat (so that it won’t imprint on even the thinnest suit, dress slacks or uniform pants).

The handle swells at the butt to give the hand great purchase and security while enabling effortless transition between grips. And a generous lanyard hole is easily big enough to attach Paracord further aiding the knife's versatility.

A strong, reliable Secure-Ex® sheath with bead chain lanyard completes this lightweight package. Despite its cutting and piercing power, the knife itself is a featherweight, weighing a meager 1.9 oz!

An awesome, affordable, lightweight double edged fixed blade that can easily be carried around the neck, tucked into a boot, attached to a belt or even carried in a pocket instead of a folder, the Hide Out sets a new standard for versatility. There is simply no excuse not to own one!

Cold steel hide out neck knife

I was really hesitant to order from the site since it only has few reviews but I still did. I ordered on Dec 3 and received my package via gogo xpress on Dec 5. Customer service thru email were really responsive and accommodating with inquiries. So don't worry on buying from this site. It's legit and the item was well packed. I got what the neck knife it has a different handle but the rest is the same. Along with the other stuff I bought, it was all in good quality and they also added a freebie. :blush:

Honest Review

Pros:
-Secure Ex-Sheath has superb retention
-AUS 8 easy to sharpen
-Double edge
-Good handle grip
-Full tang

Cons:
-AUS 8 will rust (sweat & moisture can cause rusts, so be advised if you're using it as a neck knife)
- 6 1/2" is too lengthy to be neck knife
-It scratches very easily
-Bead chain necklace is too stiff
-handle has the tendency to grip your shirt

*There's a good chance you might cut yourself so it needs extreme precaution when pulling the blade out of the sheath while it's hanging on the neck. Tactical Asia has plenty of neck knives on sale, so you might want to consider looking for the other options. This one is good but not the best. *
