I researched several reviews of this item prior to purchasing and my experience has been spot on with the positive reviews about this item. I suffer from tinnitus and while non electronic earmuffs protect my ears from loud gunshot noise, the silence magnifies my tinnitus and the loud ringing/hissing in my ears get to the point of being uncomfortable and painful. This earmuff allows me to hear and does a great job of cutting off loud sounds that could damage and furthermore aggravate my condition. Wearing it for more than an hour does get a bit hot and uncomfortable around my ears. That’s where you need to purchase the silicon gel replacement ear pads which make wearing these ear muffs to a whole new level of comfort and in my opinion even better sound protection.
