entering was just a tad bit off but was easily adjusted. The action of the knife is quite smooth and lock up is absolutely solid.
After 3 months of everyday carry and use the blade is still very sharp, not sharp enough to make the best paper cuts but I wasn't expecting any miracles from 8Cr14MoV but I still don't feel the need to resharpen it. The steel it self is great and I have not encountered any rusting although I do lightly coat the exposed edge with cooking oil (as I use this knife on food).
As for the wave feature, which is why I bought this knife in the first place, it works great, the knife easily opens when dragging it along the edge of the pocket. It's the most cost effective way of getting an Emerson design , and I wouldn't want to carry an Emerson everyday for fear of losing it anyway. Overall I chose the CQC-4K for it's longer blade length, spear point tip, and blackened blade; its POU (Philosophy of Use) is for everyday use and self defense if need be and I believe it fits this POU perfectly, some may say it's on the heavy side but I honestly never notice the weight.
The only gripe I really have is how much of the knife is exposed when clipped into my pocket, a deeper carrying clip would be better.
