World-Renowned knife makers Emerson and Kershaw have teamed up to produce a series of quality knives that features the wave-shaped pocket opening detail. One of the series of knives from this exciting collaboration is the Kershaw Emerson CQC-3K Framelock Folding Knife. It features an under-three-inch modified tanto blade handy for piercing and slashing tasks. The blade is covered in black oxide coating to add a layer of protection and cut down on reflectivity as well. The knife’s handle is specially contoured to provide a snug, comfortable fit in the palm of your hand. The front handle is textured black G-10 for a sure grip while the stainless steel back has a black finish. For added safety, the CQC-3K features a frame lock, wherein a part of the handle shifts behind the blade to lock it into position while in use.
The Kershaw Emerson CQC-3K Framelock Folding Knife opens the classic way - manually - using either the thumb disk or the patented “wave” feature. The wave shaped feature allows you to open the knife quickly and single handedly as it is drawn from the pocket, an advantage when you find yourself in a situation. The CQC-3K includes a reversible pocket slip and pre-drilled holes in the handle that lets you modify the tip position or the side on which the knife carries.
With Kershaw’s precision engineering and Emerson’s outstanding functional design, this knife’s a steal.
