Gerber Bear Grylls Ultimate Pro Fixed Blade Knife

The Gerber Tools Bear Grylls Ultimate Pro Fixed Blade is the collaborative result between Gerber’s knife making expertise and Bear Grylls vast, practical experience of the outdoors.  

Based from Gerber’s original Ultimate Fixed Blade, the Ultimate Pro features a 4.8-inch fine edge, drop-point blade that can hack firewood.  Made of premium grade stainless steel, you are assured that the blade will remain rust-free, especially when filleting a fish out in the wild.  It has a textured, rubberized handle for a secure grip even with wet or gloved hands.  An oversized bolster can be found between the blade and the handle to keep your hand from coming into contact with the blade as you lean into your cut.

The Gerber Tools Bear Grylls Ultimate Pro Fixed Blade is not just a knife, it’s a knife with built-in survival features that will prove to be useful while outdoors.  Also made of stainless steel, the knife’s pommel can be used as a hammer, while the handle can be lashed to a stick to create a spear using the two holes in the handle.  A whistle with lanyard cord is also included in case you need to signal your rescuers.   

The sheath itself does not disappoint.  Mounted on top is a fire starter rod held secure by a watertight holder, while on the sheath’s back is a pocket containing a waterproof version of Bear’s “Priorities of Survival” Pocket Guide.  Lastly, integrated inside the sheath is a pull-through carbide sharpener so that your blade always stays sharp.
