Gerber Bear Grylls Compact Parang

Modeled after the tool Indonesian tribesmen have used in the jungle for generations, Gerber Bear Grylls Compact Parang is a more compact version of a full-size machete.   

The sturdy, angled, one-pound blade is made of high-carbon steel with full tang construction. The blade’s design focuses weight toward the tip for more power behind every swing. It has a rubberized handle for a comfortable and secure grip with an oversized bolster and butt on either end of the handle to keep it snug in your palm. In addition, a lanyard cord is included that can be slipped around your wrist.

Gerber Bear Grylls Compact Parang comes with a military-grade, mildew-resistant nylon sheath for safe transport. The back of this sheath has land-to-air rescue signals.

Unlike standard, full-size machetes, the Gerber Bear Grylls Compact Parang is easier to transport and handle. This Parang is ideal for use on the trail to chop through thick grass and woody brush or around camp to slice vegetables and whittle fire starter.
