The Windstorm whistle is one of the loudest whistles in the world, capable of being heard over a half mile away and even able to work underwater. Easy to hold, easy to use and easy to hear. It is used by Police, military, search and rescue teams and industrial safety personnel as an alarm and personal. The Windstorm whistle works by utilizing a resonance chamber attached to the whistle that enables the whistle to focus its sound like a laser beam and blast a noise twice as loud as any whistle made in the world.   This same harmonic chamber also acts to protect the whistle from mud, snow, sand and water.

Made in the USA.

Wind Storm Safety Whistle - Orange

Gave two to my daughters. Very important to have aside from having two-way radios. I have my own Storm black.

Very loud

This definitely is one of the best whistles around. I just expected it to be a bit smaller and easier to carry.

Emergency Whistle for Outdoor Pursuits

Though made from the same company that makes the Storm Safety whistle, I opted for the Wind Storm instead. It's compact size makes it practical for an every day carry, without being obtrusive. Be it inside a woman's purse or attached by paracord on a wrist. The bright orange color makes it easy to find while rummaging through the depths of a handbag. Best of all, it delivers the loud whistle required for attention. Being able to use it while wet is also a major plus. This is my emergency whistle when I go out on the field for my work and when I go on birdwatching expeditions.
