German carbon steel for lasting sharpness

The 2.5 mm thick blade is made from German carbon steel (C100S), which holds a sharp edge over time and is easy to resharpen. Carbon steel requires a bit more maintenance when exposed to moisture – always wipe and oil the blade after use. Over time, the blade may develop a matte grey patina that enhances corrosion resistance. After heat treatment in the Mora factory, the blade reaches a hardness of 58.5 HRC. The polished blade features a laser-etched Morakniv logo, setting it apart from the laminated carbon steel models.
