This practically gives your gadgets power while on the go (overcast skies aside, of course). The charge is not as quick as most people would expect, but if you're the kind of person who can live without touching your mobile device every so often, this will suffice as an emergency power source.

i bought the choetech 19w solar panel charger in my third purchase from tactical asia because it has positive reviews at youtube. i decided to make a reaction to dan , verified buyer , regarding his friend;s issues with the product .

if a solar panel charger has an auto detect function , it will reset itself once exposure to direct sunlight is diminished or obstructed , as in a shade . what one will do is to detach the usb cable from the junction box and attach it again so that the solar panel can detect again the voltage and amperage requirements of the device ( mobile phone , power bank ,, tablet )

My friend bought 1. The solar panel discharged (instead of charged) his phone when he left his phone connected -in the shade (panel). Is there no protection against this from happening? or do you need to charge a power bank before you can actually use it? Thank you.

We forwarded your question to the manufacturer which is more familiar with their product. Here is the answer we got:

"1. The solar charger should be charged under the full sunlight without the glass of the window. So please charge it directly under the sun.
2. Due to the intensity of sunlight, the charging to your mobile often is not very stable.
3. To ensure best performance, we strongly recommend using your device with original cable or a third-party certified cable.
4. This device does not have an in-built battery so the charger doesn't store power."

You need to charge under the sun. If the sunshine is not strong, the charging is on and off. This caused the out-of-battery.
