The sharpener features two pull-through sharpening slots at preset angles where you can quickly sharpen both sides of a plain edge knife simultaneously. The fold out, tapered, diamond rod is for sharpening serrated blades, gut hooks, and single-bevel knife blades.
The LED light can be activated through a push button and the compass is attached to the sharpener using a lanyard. Meanwhile, the fire starter can be used along with the sharpening slot to create sparks. The whistle helps call the attention of rescuers in case you get lost in the middle of nowhere.
