The Lansky Leather Stropping Polishing Hone will give your already sharp knife the most keen edge ever! It’s a great finishing touch to your newly sharpened blade after using Lansky Sharpening Systems. “Stropping” with leather is a classic technique of polishing a knife edge to an extremely fine edge. Proper stropping instructions are included in the packaging.

IMPORTANT: This Leather Hone is used only on blades that are already extremely sharp. This is the only Lansky hone that is moved in the opposite direction. Rather than push the hone against the edge like you would with other hones, the Leather Stropping Hone requires you to pull the hone away from the edge.

Lansky Leather Stropping Polishing Hone

1) It's not real leather. 2) Because it's a synthetic leather, the uppermost part easily chips off and once it does, the layers below are useless for stropping. 3) It's not an effective strop. I get better results using a leather belt. 4) When I received the item, the surface is uneven and dimpled. Stropping with it does damage to your blade instead of making it sharper. 5) It's best used if you have the Lansky sharpening system, otherwise, it's not worth buying.
