The Warrior Series swords share the same high-performance 1060 steel, heat treatment, and sharpness as their Emperor counterparts, but Cold Steel's have omitted their expensive mirror polishing in favor of a more practical finish. This makes the Warrior Series a perfect choice for training and perfecting cutting techniques (Tameshigiri) without damaging or tarnishing the blade.

Warrior katana

This sword is amazing. I got two from here in 2018. It is incredibly sharp and keeps it's edge. I have used it on hard trees and it is still sharp. It can cut leaves on a tree by merely pushing the blade though them. There are no nicks or chips in the blade. The tang goes 3/4. of the handle. It is pinned in two places. Real ray skin under the wrapping. The wrapping is very tight. The menuki could be more ornate but they are ok. The handguard could also be better but still good. The overall sword is beautifully made. It just doesn't have the mirror polished. blade. I also ordered the wakasashi from Amazon and it is just as good . Overall great quality for the money.
