compact and lightweight

I've used this on my outdoor activities like hiking. , i was able to cook rice in it for only 10 minutes using my diy alcohol stove. (not the soda can stove)

i was also able to use larger pot to cook with its pot stand with custom made attachment,

for me, it's a self contained cookset.

Could this aluminium cooker support using wood as your fuel instead of the cubes / alcohol burner? In other words, if you ran out of the fuel cubes, could you use sticks and wood - or would the heat destroy the cook set?

Customer

We don't recommend using wood as fuel. This is designed for use with solid fuel tablets. We haven't tried using wood so we can't assure it wouldn't destroy the cookset. Use at your own risk.

It won't destroy the cook set, the solid fuel burns at a much higher temperature than wood, so I take it that it would hold well enough with firewood.

The stove is rather small though, if you are to use wood, you will have to constantly feed it, but don't feed it too much that you asphyxiate your fire since the opening is small.

It won't destroy but that would be tedious, use that as last resort.

Also, expect to clean up a lot of soot from the firewood, since the stove is walled in to protect a solid fuel tablet flame, it will collect the soot.

Do you have the Alcohol burner version rather than the solid fuel version? OR can you use instead (or fit in) a soda can alcohol stove (I made some that are 2.5 inches tall) in the windscreen? Is the fuel tray removable?

Customer

We do not sell the alcohol burner version, only the solid fuel version available. The fuel tray is not removable. We're not sure if we understood your question. But the hole (where you can put the solid fuel) measures 2.3"W x 1.2"H. Thanks.
