Last Christmas season, we received a sharp increase of orders placed in our website but they ended up not being paid by the would-be buyers. Because of our former policy to reserve items for two (2) banking days if the buyer chose offline payment method (i.e., bank deposit, remittance), several of our items went “out of stock” for several days when in reality they are available but only “reserved”.
TacticalAsia.com has a live inventory system. When someone placed an order in our site, the quantity is automatically deducted from our system and reserved to the buyer. This policy saves our buyers from frustration, as what others have experienced with other online shops, where the buyer finds out the item they want is out of stock only after having ordered and paid for it.
To be fair to all ready buyers, we decided, starting January 20, to reduce the grace period from two (2) to one (1) banking day from date of order. Our system will automatically cancel unpaid orders at 5pm the following banking day. For example, if you place an order on a Monday, it must be paid by 5pm on Tuesday, assuming it is not a bank holiday. If you place an order on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday, it must be paid by 5pm on Monday, again assuming it is not a bank holiday.
If you go to the mall, the stores won’t reserve the item to you. Until you paid for it, someone else can grab it ahead of you. So we believe our policy of giving our customers one (1) banking day reservation to make the payment is more than enough and, in fact, better than most stores!
In case you need to extend the reservation, just inform us ahead. In the event your order is cancelled, the item will be available for everyone else to buy. You can always place a new order again, if it is still available.
To reiterate, our shipping cutoff is 2pm. If we received and confirmed your payment before 2pm, we will pack and ship-out your order to the courier that same day. If we confirmed it after 2pm (even if paid before), your order will be shipped out the next business day (Sundays and holidays are excluded). You will receive an email with tracking information in the late afternoon. If you cannot find that email in your inbox, please check your spam folder as sometimes our emails get routed there.
The courier will deliver your package usually after 1-2 business days from ship-out date if your address is within Metro Manila, 2-3 business days for provincial addresses. A business day does not include Sundays, holidays, and the day the package is shipped out. For example, if your package is shipped out on Friday, the first day is Saturday, the second day is Monday, and the third day is Tuesday.
We will continue to evaluate our order payment and shipping policy so as to make your shopping experience enjoyable and hassle-free.
